With the Force eTap AXS, SRAM offers a cheaper alternative to the revolutionary RED eTap AXS group. Based on the same technologies as the Top group, the Force group not only offers a higher bandwidth, but also smaller gear steps. What sounds counterintuitive at first is made possible by the new X-Range translation variants of the Force DUB crank in combination with the Force 12-speed cassette. Thanks to the cassette’s 10 sprocket, smaller chainrings are sufficient to achieve the same maximum development as with an 11 sprocket. With a wide selection of gear ratio variants and in 1x and 2x versions, the eTap AXS is just as versatile as the purpose of bikes with drop bars today: from gravel bikes to time trial machines, the right Force eTap AXS group can be found put together. The new AXS technology (pronounced “access”) offers you the option of adapting the circuit to your personal preferences, evaluating your switching behavior or making firmware updates via the smartphone app. In addition to the freely selectable assignment of all switch buttons, the circuit can also be operated semi-automatically. In this mode, the rear derailleur and front derailleur synchronize independently and you only have to choose between an easier and heavier gear.

Shift brake lever
With only one shift lever per handlebar side and their simple switching logic, switching with the eTap shifters is almost impossible. The switching process is precise, quick and easy. The revised ErgoBlade Composite levers fit comfortably in the hand and the wide eTap shifters are impossible to miss, even with winter gloves. They also provide haptic and acoustic feedback to the driver when shifting gears. For additional switching options, 1 Blip shift button can be connected per shift lever.

HydroHC Hydraulic Road Disc (HRD) brakes
Due to the unnecessary switching mechanism in the brake lever, the master piston could be perfectly integrated into the shift/brake lever. This means that the hoods are smaller, fit more harmoniously into the overall look of the bike and fit even better in the hand. The contact point adjustment also ensures better ergonomics. The pressure point of the lever can be adjusted precisely using a hexagonal screw without affecting the distance between the brake pads. The lever width when the brake is not applied can also be adjusted to the hand size using a 6-point screw. The brake caliper has also been revised. It is now made from one block, which makes it even lighter than its predecessor. The heat management of the brake caliper has also been optimized so that the HydroHC retains its pressure point even on long mountain pass descents.

Centerline XR brake discs | Center Lock
New, optimized design with large friction surface for more braking power and less brake fading. The newly designed aluminum spider ensures better heat dissipation and has better aerodynamic properties. The 7-point mounting of the friction ring reduced the vibrations of the disc, which also reduces noise when braking.
The rounded edges on the top of the disc minimize the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the UCI. Another advantage is that they make wheel installation easier because the rounded top prevents tilting in the brake caliper.

Rear derailleur
The eTap AXS rear derailleur ensures even faster shifting processes with a revised motor and improved data transmission. The speed-dependent Orbit-Fluid vibration dampening ensures secure chain guidance, even in off-road use. Larger pulleys make the drive even more efficient compared to the previous version. Equipped with an additional ANT+ transmitter, the rear derailleur can communicate with bike computers and information about the battery charge status and the current gear can be displayed.

Front derailleur
The SRAM Force eTap front derailleur was developed for the 2x X-Range chainring gradations of the eTap AXS group. Equipped with the proven SRAM Yaw technology, trimming the front derailleur is no longer necessary. The force when shifting is automatically regulated over the entire switching range. The front derailleur offers extra tire clearance for use on cyclocross and gravel bikes.

Charger/batteries
The integrated batteries on the rear derailleur and front derailleur have a range of over 1000 kilometers. The charging status can be read at any time using LED lights. The batteries in the rear derailleur and front derailleur are identical and can therefore be replaced on the go. With the charger included in delivery, the batteries can be recharged within an hour.
